Our Daliah Hair Sticks are made of free trade aqua blue-green African recycled glass beads. These great beads are made by the Krobo People of Ghana by crushing glass to a fine powder and heating it so that the particles fuse together. The glass is then poured into clay molds, with a cassava leaf stem used to make the hole. They are baked in an oven and the glass fuses and the cassava stem burns up. This technique has been used in Africa for centuries.

Price is for a single Tidal Hair Stick.

The standard base is a 4 1/2 inch black lacquered wood with a unique tapered shape, but after beads are added, the Hair Stick is around 5 1/2 to 6 inches total. A large 6 inch base is available at no additional cost. Most customers prefer to use the smaller 4 1/2 inch base, but you may want to go for the larger 6 inch size if your hair is extremely thick or very long. Click HERE to read more about sizes.

The size of the glass bead varies from 9-14mm with the larger size being used on the large base option.
